  • Does not work – adds layers of stuff that you don’t need and beware many options will conflict with other needed plugins – remember after uninstalling to restore htaccess (restore to backup). Instead of this plugin simply add a few lines to your htaccess file in following code replace YOUR-SSL-URL or search google for “htaccess force ssl wordpress”

    @robert_itman I’m sorry to hear that. What exactly was the issue you had? You’re referring to the .htaccess redirect?

    Please note that the redirect you posted will not work on many hosting environments (with CloudFlare, load balanced, etc), as the required lines depend on the server configuration. Redirect loops might result.

    For that reason, we have created a detection to determine what the configuration is on each website. It is possible of course that your hosting environment blocks the check. It is hard to say without more information.

    With 6 million happy users I’m confident we have covered a lot of exceptions, but as you may understand, with the numbers we’re looking at it’s a challenge to reach 100%. However, with the help of hundreds of contributors, over the years we’ve step by step added a lof of configuration types to our list of supported setups.

    If you’re willing to contribute to this free project, we can add your configuration as well. We need such contributions to keep improving, as we can’t possibly test every single hosting company out there.

    One last thing: the “stuff you don’t need” is simply not loaded if you don’t need it, so that’s one worry less ??
