    Hi,

I’ve seen in page builders and some sliders that they’ll escape slashes in images with backslashes – could that be what’s happening here?

If you’re able to check the plugin tables in phpMyAdmin or similar you may be able to see if that’s the case.

Thanks for the reply, I can try and find that but not sure it would be the case here as my replace query was

    https://livedomain.com/ -> https://livedomain.stagedomain.com/

So the image path would not be taken into account right?

That would be ideal ?? But I have seen a lot of these builders storing the full image path instead of just the relative url/slug. So the whole URL would have been escaped with the backslashes.

That gives me an idea- I’ll try to go through the major builders and see if I can come up with a chart of how each handles URLs and guides on using BSR with them.

That would be interesting for me, too.

In my case, it’s the “Visual Composer” plugin which comes with my theme for page building.

Perhaps yours works similar to how mine is. I do not think for me it is an issue with the plugin,

So I did a test, and it appears the images get the URL path from the domain that is set for the site, as if that part is not stored in the meta data?

So the domain in Multisite settings is abc.123.com and the images get output with that in source path. However, if I change the domain in settings to 123.com, then images get output with that source path.

Which sucks because thus far their theme support team is not helpful lol.

Actually does not seem to be replacing any image urls for me… anyone else run into this issue?

@thatryan I just double-checked am not able to replicate. Just to be sure- are you referring to images in standard posts/pages, ones in a page builder, or the URL as shown in the Media Library?

I’d be happy to take a look at this- please shoot an email to [email protected]. It would also be helpful if you included a DB backup or temporary wp-admin access so I can dig into this further.

    Thanks!

Crap, so I realize now that these images not updating are not in the post content, rather, are uploaded and output via Advanced Custom Fields plugin.

Still go in the media library though, so not sure what the catch is there.

DB dump is rough because this is part of our multisite with about 500 sites running lol
