Does not update status when publishing

  • I am able to set a custom status for the posts, but when publishing, it does not update the status to published. So if you are not careful to change the status manually, the post stays invisible after publishing. Is there a way to fix this?

    due to the option “Public” in every status it is a bit confusing if a post is published or not, I can understand that. Since every status has the option to be “Public”, it is difficult to apply a general rule here. I’m thinking about adding something like this as an option in the settings, or generally intervening in the wording of the “Publish” button, neither of which is an ideal solution in my opinion. Your post I still keep open, if I come to a solution I will report back here.
