As explained over and over again, PHP does not fully support UTF-8 encoding. This is a limitation with PHP itself, not with File Away. Use a language pack keyboard and your special characters will work fine.

The alternate pathinfo function for your UTF-8 issues is now a global option in File Away Settings > Options as of v. 3.9.5. This will not solve all UTF-8 issues of course, such as moving and renaming files in manager mode, etc. For that, you will need to use a language-pack keyboard, as PHP’s rename function can’t handle certain UTF-8 characters. But test it out and see if this is an improvement.
