Please note, that Photo Gallery plugin (free version) does have this feature. Here’s how you can configure the links.

Firstly please go to Photo Gallery Options > Shortcode Defaults > Thumbnail Options and set Image Click Action option to Redirect to URL.

Afterwards open your gallery, where you wish to add URLs and provide the necessary links in Redirect to URL input, which will appear under Alt/Title.

Lastly, when you insert your gallery into a page or post, make sure Image Click Action option is set to Redirect to URL in shortcode toolbox as well.

Thank you for the quick reply and explanation. I meanwhile switched to a different, less complicated plugin that suits me better (Meta Slider). But I’ll change my rating from 1 to 3 stars, because the function is there, just hard to find.
