Does not send status notification message to customer

  • I have installed this plugin, configured the MoceanSMS Settings and purchased some credits on the dev.moceansms.com site.

    • The plugin allows for the Admin SMS Message to be sent to multiple store admins by separating their msisdns using a comma. But it never sends the last sms in the list. The SMS Transaction log shows an error 255 for the last admin number.
    • Although the Customer Settings tab is configured to send a status notification message to the customer for a number of order statuses, the plugin does not appear to have made any attempt to send any SMS to any customer for any of the checked statuses. The SMS Transaction log does not have any record of any attempt to send any SMS to any customer either, indicating that the plugin is simply not sending anything to the MoceanSMS site.

    This needs to be fixed urgently as this bug has necessitated the installation and use of another SMS plugin – but I have MoceanSMS credit that I want to use, so this needs to be fixed or I need a refund, if it is not possible to use the credit for its intended purpose.

    In order to help you further, we will need more information on this.

    1) May you share with us the wordpress version that you are currently using?

    2) Could you share with us some numbers that are not receiving SMS so that we can get a better grip on this?

    3) May we know if you have turned on debugging for your wordpress? If yes, there will be a file called debug.log in your wordpress folder.
    The debug log can be found in \wp-content \debug.log (please share us the file in bold). This will greatly help our investigation.

    4) Lastly, can you share with us the MoceanSMS.log file located at \wp-content\uploads\moceansms-woocommerce-logs.

    In response to your questions

    1. I am using WordPress version 4.9.5
    2. None of the customers are receiving SMS… for any of the order statuses specified. Here are a couple of customer numbers (as they appear in the user database): 0116842190, 0730281015
    3. No, I have not turned on debugging for WordPress. Unfortunately this is a production e-commerce site and turning on debugging adds a few seconds to page load time, which we cannot afford.

    In response to your question

    1. This wordpress version 4.9.5 is compatible with our plugin
    2. Based on the numbers given above, we checked based on log entries and our number lookup system that the customer numbers provided are not valid (0116842190, 0730281015).

    As for the Admin SMS Message last number in the list (27832611200), we are now checking with our carrier to find out the reason why it was rejected and will get back to you as soon as possible.
