    Hi,

I have been staring at the source code of your page for a while. The placements of the Analytics and plugin scripts are OK. Both are there, Analytics before the plugin script, and you have chosen the right Analytics script on the plugin’s Options page.

So, I’m kind of stuck what it could be that you’re not getting the results you expect. Technically speaking, bounce rate and number of returning visitors are not related, but we can assume when people return to your website they’ll see more than one page.

It would be great if someone else see what’s going on. I’d be very interested to hear it, so please post.

Thanks for checking Okoth… I was not sure if I had set it up correctly, but it definitely is not improving my bounces rate.

Could you see when you go to Analytics -> Real Time -> Events if there are any Time events there?

Just checked.. I see the number of visitors active on my website, but as far as events, all I see is this: “There is no data for this view.”

That is strange. I looks like Analytics is not saving the events when using the old Analytics script. I don’t have a website running at the moment with the old script and I’m about to go on holiday. I’ll see later if I can make a website with the old script to see what’s going on.

Any chance you can test the plugin without any other plugins active to see if there is a conflict?
Or if you use a cache plugin could you not include my plugin to see if that would solve it?

I can always turn off all the plugins, but my website would stop working correctly. I rely on my visitor submitting material to the website, and if I turn off the plugins for any extended period of time I would lose out…

As far as cache; I use WP Super Cache.. I must let you know that I am quite new at WordPress, and I have it configured with default setting, I do not know where or what to add to not include your plugin… If you can guide me, I will try…

Thank you very much for your support, and enjoy your holiday..

    Hello Okoth1… I trust you had a nice holiday…

I see that I don’t seem to be the only one experiencing an issue… I got this in my email today…

Same problem with me. It show up after WP 4.5 update”

Hope you can figure this out… You should be able to see the updated code from google. I changed the setting in the plugin..

Hi Jose, just back. I see that you’re using the latest analytics tracking code. Just to confirm, this code works, right? Are you planning to move back to the old code?

    Cheers

Hey.. Glad to see you are back… Trust you had a good holiday…

Yeah I am using the new code, and I have seen some improvement; I was hoping for much more, but I guess time will tell…

    Thanks for your help..

    Jose
