Does not create links in categories and excerpts

  • Hello there,

    your plugin has great functionality!

    I am testing on a staging site, but at this time of writing, no autolinks are generated in category or tag descriptions or excerpts.

    And yes, I have ticked all the boxes in “General settings” – but still no luck…

    You wanna have a look at my staging site to know what’s going on?

    Hello. The plugin does not add links in category descriptions. The checkbox for category pages is to display links in post content which is shown on a category page, for example yoursite.com/category/uncategorized.

    for me, it would be vital to have this function –

    I am currently using SEO Smart Links, which also creates auto-links from category and tag archives as an option.

    Your plugin is by far the best alternative that is out there – but it would be somewhat risky to lose that internal link juice if auto linking from archive pages is not working…

    Would that be difficult to implement, and could you do that?

    I would show my gratitude with granting you a bounty – and advertising your plugin as a very good alternative to the old and deprecated “SEO Smart Links” users…

    Hello. In the latest update I have added an option that you can find in Auto Affiliate Links -> General Settings, “Show Links On” setting. Thick “category description” and let me know if the plugin add links on category description.

    unfortunately, this is not the case.

    All of the words on top of the category should be auto-highllighted – but none of them does.

    Also, please check the the lower part of the archive page with all the images and texts: The texts below the images are “excerpts”, and some of the keywords in there should be auto-linked, too. This is not the case, either… You can check in the source code, no links in the excerpts are created…

    This seems to be a bug, no? Can you please fix it?

    Hello. Can you please take a screenshot of Auto Affiliate Links -> General Settings page and send it to contact [at] autoaffiliatelinks [dot] com

    Also send a screenshot of the main plugin admin page where you are adding the keywords.

    Do you use any page builder plugins ?
