  • Hi @alexii ,

I am using this plugin with BuddyPress 2.7 and WordPress 4.6.1. It works just fine with them for me.

In fact, I am using this plugin on a site that has over 70 plugins activated (most are BuddyPress plugins) and there is no problem.

What is it you see as a problem? Maybe I have missed something.

    Hi Bot,

the following message show at backend:

We are running WordPress MU sites, and activate buddypress and social article in subside with LNMP environment, which means that a sub site as the main sit of buddypress, while not activate it at our root site of WordPress MU. Before I update buddypress from 2.6 version, it works fine!l, and after update it to 2.7 version, it show:

Social Articles requires the BuddyPress plugin to work. Please install BuddyPress first, or deactivate Social Articles.

Should you need more information about our sites, please let me know!

    Alex

Maybe that information (especially the custom configuration information) can help the developers troubleshoot the issue. I personally don’t run that type of install. That’s why I wondered what might be happening.

Thanks for the update for my own piece of mind. Maybe they will respond soon.

    Hi @alexlii,

Happy to learn the issue has been resolved by the recent update of BuddyPress. First, it would probably be helpful to the authors of this plugin if you marked this thread “Resolved”.

Second, Yes “Contributor” role is the lowest role able to post. However, that capability cannot natively publish their own posts.

Please see the following for more complete explanations of WordPress roles.
