• I came back here to comment on the poorly implemented plugin cleanup. I spent several hours trying to get this plugin to do what I needed and couldn’t, so I went with another calendar about 3 months ago.

I came back here to comment as I was recently working on my own plugin (not related to calendars) and I came across some DB clutter using the ai1ec tag. Specifically in the Roles Capabilities. Also there were ai1ec options in the options table still.

This kind of thing irks me, as a properly built plugin will be considerate of users by ensuring that remnants of itself are not left in a database after uninstall, unless this is a featured option which is communicated to the user.

This is however a massive plugin, so I do not want to dissuade people from trying it nor the devs to continue to improve.

  • Hey spitfires,

I am sorry to hear you had issues with our plugin. It would be very helpful if you create a support forum ticket for this so we can follow-up on any issue you encountered. Or simply paste them here and I would gladly pass them along…

Meanwhile I created a dev ticket for our team related to the clean-up with high priority and will get back to you as soon as possible with an update.
Thank you for pointing the issue, and I will do my best to make you change the rating you think we deserve ??

    Hey spitfires,
We just fixed this, and will be released on Jan 27 in our next sprint release.
If there’s anything else that you think we should take a look into, please let us know.
Thanks for your support and feedback,
    Aristotel
