Does not add nofollow to my links in pages or posts

  • I’m using WordPress 4.9.7 with Weaver II Pro Theme.

    I added Nofollow for External Link plugin and activated it. When I go back and check my pages and posts, the links do not have Nofollow added to them. I expected that the plugin would modify them.

    Does this plugin work not by modifying my HTML but in execution? If so, how can I verify that it is working correctly?

    hello,

    sorry for late reply, is the plugins still active? this plugins will add rel=nofollow to external links of a page/post content, not in any hard coded html code in theme.

    can you tell me which page/post has external link to check is the plugins working properly ?

    in this https://artchester.net/surgery-success/ page i see this link “– Surgical Checklists Save Lives — but Once in a While, They Don’t. Why? – The New York Times” has added rel nofollow ! is the plugins active? and if so the plugins is working okay.

    I did not hear back from you so I deactivated the plugin and deleted it.

    Since then, I have been manually adding nofollow and noopener to many of my external links. The page you looked at is one of the ones I manually changed. Only my very oldest posts have not yet been fixed, and I will fix them as soon as I can.

    i think there was some issue, but this plugins exactly do what you are doing manually now, i understand this is so tedious task, sorry about that.
