    Hi,
the settings for homepage has been made like this:
    “Herrenschnei*er Amann – Ihr Herren; & Ma**schneider in B….”

Yoast is supposed to overwrite the WP-settings, correct?, but it does not.
    It still is “WP-Title – WP-Title”.
Even the description is not been echoed in the sourcecode although setted.
Yes, cache has been cleared several times

    kind regards
    alex

@agenturmai Can you please confirm whether you are trying to change the value of the SEO Title for the homepage? And what option are you using for the ‘Your homepage displays’ in WordPress under Settings>Reading?

Also, when you say that the plugin is not accepting the settings, are you receiving an error or warning, or is the value not being output?

    1: Yes
2: The one that is defined to be the homepage (also in the equivalent on Enfolds basic settings)
3: No errors, just no outputs

    addition:
Usually there is no need to set WordPress–>Settings–>Reading if you use Enfold and do the settings in the Themesettings (it overrides)

But i thought it might help to find the issue and so i changed the setting in WordPress–>Settings–>Reading also.

    But then something strange happened:
The posibility to set a homepage meta in Yoast was gone.
You can see it in the screencast

Thanks for sharing the relevant video for us. We see that you have selected a custom front page. So, you’ll now need to go to edit the relevant front page that you have selected from the WordPress reading settings and edit the SEO title and meta description using the Yoast SEO meta box that will appear under the content editor.

Can you please confirm whether the issue persists when editing the SEO title and meta description from inside of the relevant custom front page to see whether this resolves the issue for you?

We look forward to hearing from you.

I know that i can edit it there.
But as far as i know from administrate other sites with similar structure Yoast is able to recognize a custom front page.
So why not in this case?

Yoast SEO can detect custom front page just fine. However, when you define a custom front page from the WordPress reading settings, you’ll need to edit the SEO data directly by editing the relevant page.

On the other hand, when not using the custom front page but using the default blog as the front page from the WordPress reading settings, you can edit the SEO data for the front page of your website directly from the Search Appearance → General (tab).

We hope this clarifies your query better now.

I need to edit the SEO data directly by editing the relevant page even if i DONT define a custom front page from the WordPress reading settings.
    And THIS is the problem.

If you don’t define a custom front page but using the default blog page as the front page, you can edit the SEO title and meta description for the front page from the SEO > Search Appearance > General (tab).

You’ll need to make sure that you’ve selected the default blog page as the front page from the WordPress reading settings.
