I read somewhere that we can’t send attachment in transactional mail. If not, Please allow sending pdf, jpeg, png with transactional mail. Would be very useful for sending customer sending invoices.

  • Hello @itsgauravjain22

That is correct. When sending transactional emails with MailPoet 3 and the “MailPoet Sending Service”, the emails do not include attachments. This is because of bandwidth concerns and security implications with spam filters. As an alternative, we recommend sending links to files instead of attachments.

If you need to send attachments for your WooCommerce orders, you can set your website to send emails via the default sending method instead of MailPoet’s configured sending method. To do this, simply go to? MailPoet Settings >> Advanced Tab, look for the setting “Send all site’s emails with…” and choose the option “The default WordPress sending method (default)”.

What about sending transactional emails with MailPoet 3 and a third-party sender (e.g., Amazon SES)? Are attachments still prohibited then? Either way, you should clarify this in your documentation. Your current language suggests attachments are only prohibited when using the MailPoet Sending Service.

    Hi @foxylearning,

If you’re using a third-party sending service such as Amazon SES, attachments in the transactional emails are not prohibited.

    Thanks!
