    Hi,

In my article https://www.datanumen.com/excel-repair/guides/recover-corrupted-excel-file/, The focus keyphrase is “Recover Corrupted Excel File”.

    Yoast SEO reports an warning:

The keyphrase was found 5 times. That’s less than the recommended minimum of 11 times for a text of this length. Focus on your keyphrase!

I click the “Eye” button and check the 5 instances of the keyphrases, and find the synonyms of my focus keyphrase is not counted in, such as “Repair Corrupted Excel File”.

So I just wonder whether this check counts in the keyphrase synonyms or not?

    Hello @chcw,

Thanks for reaching out about our content analysis. The keyphrase density assessment checks whether the (content) words from the keyphrase are used in the text and whether they are used often enough (but not too often). For a match to be found, all content words should occur in one sentence. Multiple occurrences of all content words within one sentence are considered multiple matches. It doesn’t check/count synonyms.

    Sorry for one more question.

After I change the contents, but do not update it, will your plugin performs a new check on the updated contents?

If you change the content, you need to update/save changes.
