Does it work with 3.8.1 with images that are NOT attachments?

    Hi

    So I have a folder htdocs/pics
    with all my pics
    the posts have all images as html source linked to the images
    e.g.

    <img src=”/pics/bla.jpg” />

    does this plugin work with this? those images are invisible to wordpress, it is just plain html code inside the post, not attachment to the post whatsoever
