    The Installation notes:

    This plugin works straight out of the box.

    Upload plugin-name.php to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

    That implies it does *not* require the WP Rest API plugin (which, apparently will be merged into CORE with 4.5) nor does it require Advanced Custom Fields.

    Is this the case?
