    Hello there.

I created a Private Group in Zotero.org. Copied a couple of items in there. The following is my settings. The idea is that I want to use only items that are in a Zotero Group on my web site, rather than all items in My Zotero Library. I’m building a lab site, so this seemed a perfect solution, allowing users to access items in the Group.

    Zotero Group Settings
    Group Type: Private
    Library Reading: Any group member
    Library Editing: Any group member
File Editing : Any group member

    Private Key Settings
    Personal Library: none checked
    Default Group Permissions: Read/Write

Then I created an account in Zotpress with user ID and Private Key. I tested both User and Group Account types, but the result was the same. “Import everything” was followed by the message that reads “There are no citations to display. If you think you’re receiving this message in error, you may need to import your Zotero library.”

When I tested Private Key with “Personal Library: Allow library access”, Zotpress successfully imported >6000 items in my Library. That was great.

    I’ve found a similar post.

Does Zotpress support Zotero Groups? Any suggestions?

Zotpress does support Zotero groups, and I wasn’t able to duplicate the issue with a private group library. I wonder if it may be the setting “Library Reading: Any group member”? If you’re willing to share your private group with me, I can try to troubleshoot. Feel free to contact me at: https://katieseaborn.com/contact

Thank you Katie for the prompt reply. It does? That’s great news for me. I’ll write to you via email as well.

    Odon,

I had a similar issue. The solution was that I was using the wrong User ID for the Group. You need to use the number that is given after //api.zotero.org/groups/ in the RSS feed link for the group (I found this on the Zotero website when viewing the Group library).

Given your original question was 8 months ago, you may have resolved this now, but others might find this useful.

    Regards
