Does this plugin actually do a 301 redirect from http to https? Just making sure it transfers link juice correctly.

Installing the ssl seems easy but setting up the 301 correctly to move from http to https is where I get slightly worried.

    Does this plugin handle that?

By default the plugin activates a 301 redirect. In the settings you can also activate a 301 .htaccess redirect, which is slightly faster. Both are 301 permanent, so your link juice is transferred correctly either way.

    Hi Roger,

    Sorry to jump in!

Just added the plugin and guess if I just use the wizard I don’t need to use any other 301 redirect plugin and will your plugin 301 all urls?

Sorry if it’s a bit obvious!

    Cheers Danny

Yes, by default it uses a 301 redirect within WordPress. If you’re on litespeed or Apache you can also enable the .htaccess redirect setting, which is faster.

    Great!

Have set up with just Let’s Encrypt and just Cloudflare (full strict) on different sites and both work well.

    Cheers Dan.
