Does Imsanity only work with WP Media upload? (not with Nexgen Gallery?)

    I’ve installed and activated Imsanity, set up the max size 800×600 as a test.
    I’m also using Nexgen Gallery to make/put galleries on posts/pages, but when I upload images from my computer via Nexgen, the images uploads as is, eg. 2796x1954px.(1MB)

    Does Imsanity only work when you upload images using Media uploads on dashboard or straight onto posts/pages?
