Does Import tool erase all existing posts and pages

    Just a dumb question I haven’t actually seen an answer to anywhere. If I import pages from another WordPress installation, does it replace my existing posts and pages?

    Basically I want to import some old pages to a new blog and then use a plugin to convert them to a custom post type but I want to keep the posts I have on there now as blog posts.
