Does Gengo work with the homepage selection?

When I go to options in my WordPress 2.1 install and change the homepage to the static “Home” page, it works beautiful. And when I activate the Gengo plugin, I get the 2 languages and that works beautiful. However, with Gengo activated, the homepage changes back to the blog posts, it ignores that option. Can this be changed? I want a static homepage via the options menu and a multilingual site.
