Does Embed Plus overlay ads on videos?

    On every video i’ve embeded with youtube free there’s an overlay ad at the same place in every video. There were no ads with the other embed plugins I previously used “ARVE Advanced Responsive Video Embedder” & “WP YouTube Lyte” so could somebody explain why? Just so i’m clear on why i’m seeing this.

    No this plugin does not overlay ads. It only displays the standard YouTube player and the ads in that case are controlled by a combination of YouTube and the video owner.

    Note that just because you haven’t seen them in other plugins doesn’t mean this plugin is doing something different. If you’re embedding your own videos, then you can go to the YouTube channel and turn off monetization. If it is someone else’s video, then they and YouTube have control over whether the video is monetized. You can contact the owner to turn them off.

    Just to further add. You’re currently running the plugin on the site bandlook which is connected to your WP.org profile. We just went through several pages of videos and no ads showed for us. It is all up to Google’s algorithm and the channel owners choice.
