Does email alerts & new user registration emails work on installs on subdomains

I just upgraded to 2.2 but i’ve had this issue since i first installed over a year ago. I’ve not been able to fix it yes. I hope someone has an answer for me.

When I first installed my blog it was in a subfolder (eg: https://www.xyz.com/blog) My email notifications and everything worked fine.

I then moved it to https://blog.xyz.com and ever since no email notification is working at all. i cant figure it out. I don’t get emails when new comments are posted. New users that sign up don’t get their passwords nothing.

This is a big problem because i have a bunch of users that sign up, and i have to keep monitoring daily and manually changing their passwords and emailing it to them.

Can anyone please help
