• If a visitor initially consents to a category of optional cookies registered with the plugin and then later changes their mind and revokes consent, does doing that actually remove/expire existing cookies in that category? Or is the plugin not capable of doing that on its own?

For example, I have the WordPress “save your information for future comments” checkbox enabled, which works by saving data in cookies. I have those three WordPress cookies registered as a separate category in the GDPR plugin. It’s normally set to ON (since the cookie has to be set by deliberate user choice). If a user saves their information, then goes into the cookie menu and turns that category off, will their saved comment cookies be deleted, or must the user do so manually through their web browser?

    Thanks!

If not, is there a way to create a function that will automatically delete any already-set cookies in a category if the user decides to disallow that cookie later?
