Does deactived plugins make my site slower?

  • I have installed, but deactived plugins. Can they make my site slower or someting? I’m trying to kill every posibility of things that makes my site slow, cuz i’m using cache plugins + my host cache and it’s slow.

    Should i unistall those deactived plugins? Is that going to help my site or it does not matter?

    I have 55 actived (i need them all, alot of them are extensions to other plugin), 15 deactived.

    Inactive plugins do not necessarily slow down your site can slow down your site (see link in my next reply) but also inactive (and outdated) plugins are tempting targets for attackers. If you’re not going to use a plugin, the best thing to do is to remove it.

    55 is not a low number. I personally try to keep that number low but I imagine there are scenarios where you can’t do that. If you verified each and every one of them and you need them, then… just go with that and try improving your site speed in other ways:

    Yea, i’ve payed for that plugins and the extensions, i need them. Looks like i will need to find another way.
