Does Complianz insert GTM code on site? And what does cookie and script blocker?

    Hi,

    2 questions:

    1. I have inserted my GTM code inside a custom code field in my website editor (Elementor). This means, that Complianz should not yet again insert the same GTM code. That would mean the side would trigger the same GTM code twice when loading the page. So, my question is just, what is the GTM code for, when Complianz asks for it?       • Because I don’t want Complianz to insert the GTM code, since I have already inserted that myself.
    2. What does the “Enable cookie and script blocker” option do if i Enable it? Look here for the option I’m talking about: https://imgur.com/a/PQso3tv

    Hello,

    thanks for your message, I’ll answer down below to your questions:

    1) If you want to correctly use the Consent Mode of our plugin you should only embed GTM through our plugin (and update to a Premium license). If you want to embed it from your side you won’t be able to activate the Consent Mode, in your case you can leave that box blank
    2) The feature you’re talking about is the one related to the automatic blocking of tracking services, if you activate it all the tracking services embedded and recognized by our plugin will be prior blocked until user’s consent, as requested by GDPR
