Does cache exclusion support the use of wildcards?

Do I have to use the full URL?
Also, since I am already caching on the server as well as using browser caching, won’t caching via SPWA cache the cache?

I have used the wildcard cache exclusion as advised by you and it seems to be working. After excluding certain URL ranges using this method, I changed back to cache preference (network first and then cache) and caching seems to be working on desired URLs.
