Just discovered that the Atom, RSS, and KML feed validation was failing. Fixed the problem (the author’s web site address had been left blank.)

    Everything else had passed validation.

QUESTION: Is the reason that Google’s blog search does not have the site in their database because the ‘Feed Validation’ failed?

Or is there something else that needs to be done to be included in Google’s blog search? The site has been up for 3 months now and Google list all of the blog pages so far.

Found the solution. That is to use Google’s recently aqcuired company…Feedburner.

Since the acquistion of Feedburner, Google has updated the plugin Feedburner and renamed it Feedsmith. From what I’ve read in the install for the original Feedburner plugin, Feedsmith has made the process even simplier (not having used Feedburner, I cannot verify this).

You can find more infomation at Feedburner’s WordPress plugin F&Q page.
