Does add images to categories?

    I’m confused about this plugin because it’s called Categories Images and that sounds like an image is attached to a category. The tag though says add images with category or taxonomy. That makes it sound like you add an image as a custom post type and are allowed to select a category like a post.

    I need to add images directory to a category as a field. Then I can call a list of categories and it will display the image that is set for that category. Is this what this plugin does or is this a plugin for adding images as posts?

    Yes it is exactly what you need.

    But let me explain something here, WordPress uses categories and tags as taxonomies, so the plugin works the same for both categories, tags and any other custom taxonomy, it saves a single image for each of any of them (category, tag, custom taxonomy)
