Does a recurring (weekly) posts plugin exist?

i am looking for a plugin that will update a posts publish date as soon as the publish date is reached. So, if I set the publish date to “December 7 2012 @ 7:00pm” as soon as the date and time are reached, the posts publish date will change to “December 14 2012 @ 7:00pm”

this plug-in could also work for hourly/monthly/yearly posts, but all i need is weekly posts.

I need this plugin so I can use posts as events for a webpage.

Does this plugin exist or do I need to learn how to create plugins and start coding?
