    Hello,

first of all: this plugin is great – thank you!

Well, I was expecting to see on the documents page (Domain/BuddyDrive)the files I have access to. I find the files under my profile, but just there; same for groups – the files are there. Is my Documents-page broken or is it always supposed to be blank? Sorry if I might have missunderstood something…

I renamed the slug to domain/docs and the title to Documents – I understood thats possible after the recent update, right?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback, it’s on purpose, the domain/buddydrive or whatever you choose for the plugin’s WordPress page is acting like a rooter to force the download of files regarding their privacy options. For a password protected file, you’ll see that this page is asking for a password.

Unlike other file sharing system, BuddyDrive’s goal is to provide your members with a file sharing system they “control”. So they can choose to share publicly a file “they own” using the activity component, or to benefit from a group to share it with its members, or to share it with their friends, to protect it with a password or to share it privately (that is to say to restrict it to them only!).

So from my point of view the “they own” part of a BuddyPress powered community is in the domain/members/username part, that’s why i didn’t made a global page for downloads. I understand people who feel different about this, but that’s a road i’m not ready (don’t want so far) to take.
