    In a theme, the plugin expects pixproof_gallery.php to be located within a “templates” folder, not in the root or a “views” folder.

    All I can offer you right now is this article

    About the templates, you can simply create a templates in your theme(or better a child-theme) and copy the files from pixproof/views.
    After that, you can edit those file as you like.
