    PING…..

Anyone know about the location question I have??

Were should the actually location on my server be and why does it not match the link URL??

    Thanks,
    Rich

You can change this in Settings > Media.

I usually create a directory in my public_html directory called “documents” or “docs” and use that for the Documents upload directory. That helps to keep them separate from your other media uploads.

WPDR scrambles the file name for security purposes.

Read the plugin documentation (section labelled ‘Access Control’), it says clearly that the folders are hidden for security reasons. If it was in the place the URL points to

    …./wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/

it would be available publicly for all to see and you therefore would not be able to secure its access to specific users.
