document is not showing – download link does?

  • This friday we added a new PDF to a new blog post, the PDF was shown correct on the site, over the weekend the PDF document stopped to work, however i can see it adds the 600px height of the wiew field but just empty, and it adds the download link, what could the cause be?

    I have tried to add the PDF from another location available for public, but no luck.

  • I have the same problem. No preview available and the Download link is working .

    Mariyan if you are using Google Viewer and the doc is great than 2 megabytes (aprox) the new Google Viewer only show preview if you have the doc hosting on Google Drive

    Hello ,i am experiencing the same problem. The trick of keeping pdf files below 2mb does not work. I uploaded a pdf file with one page of 9kb and it still does not show. I hope sombody can help. only the download link is shown

    I have this problem also. Mine started today, Sept. 23,2015.

    Yesterday the files were displaying properly, both “.doc” and “.pdf” files.

    File sizes are small.

    Hello, the solution for this problem is SAVE THE FILES ON GOOGLE DRIVE.

    The problem is the bandwith.

    If you save the files on Google Drive there is not bandwith restriction.

    Makes more sense now too. This morning the files were all appearing properly which had me pulling my hair out. Don’t really want to use Google docs simply because it is a client site and it just adds another layer of client management I was trying to avoid.

    Hello EBurden. Box.com have a good visor, but need put the links on the Box.com account (you can block the donwnloads in this account).

    The PDFs should be compress for a temporal solution.
