doc preview option

  • Hello,
    I have a site set up with BuddyPress Docs for group file management.
    I need the files to be able to preview and can’t find anything about it. They ask me as a requirement before downloading the files, to be able to view them. Can someone help me or know how I could do something similar?

    As I understand it, the browser’s behavior with respect to downloaded files is a user preference. For example, here’s a document about the behavior in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-firefox-behavior-when-open-file

    Perhaps I have not explained well. What I need is to preview the files, for once that preview is done I decide to download it or not.
    The question was maybe, if anyone knows any plugins, code … so that when an admin uploads a word file for example in Buddypress Docs, a preview is seen and not just the download link …
