    Hi there,

    We have just joined MangoPay to utilise on our marketplace and we are currently using the sandbox environment on a staging site at the moment. As recently as last Friday our account manager assured us that for customers (not vendors), on the payments/checkout page, they are not required to provide Date of Birth details nor their nationality.

    Can you tell me how to remove this information request on the check-out page as our customers will surely raise privacy issues around providing and storing this information for a simple purchase.

    Dear developers,

    Following on from my query of yesterday, MangoPay’s commercial division has confirmed that the DOB field is from a legacy release and is not required for customers to fill out. Their advice was to have our own developer make adjustments to the code and auto-fill the field in the background to any date to bypass the issue.

    Whilst this may prove a short-term fix, it won’t provide a fix each time the plug-in is updated.

    Are you able to respond to my query about removing or hiding this requirement for customers altogether as this is data that we should not be capturing.

    Dear Michael,

    Thanks a lot for your demand.
    I think you were miss led by one of our agent. The field Birthday and nationality of the buyer are required fields as you can see on our documentation:
