If using SGO’s Full Page Caching Feature (Cloudflare Workers), do you still recommend we use SG Railgun (Cloudflare Railgun) for additional, enhanced website performance?

We were told by SG Customer Support that SG Railgun is no longer functional, yet our Cloudflare dashboard still shows it’s active and fully functional. That is, our dynamic content is being cached (i.e., we’re getting a “HIT”)

If you no longer recommend we use SG Railgun, what other Cloudflare functionalities should we stop using while using SGO’s Full Page Caching Feature?

    Please explain. Thank you.

We no longer recommend or support it. In the Cloudflare it might be available but we do not support it.

    Hi @hristo-sg,

As always, thank you for your help. We turned off SG Railgun.

Since Cloudflare has added a vast number of speed enhancing features in the past 6 months or so, can you answer our second question?

That is, what other Cloudflare features should we ignore or turn off to make sure we do not interfere with the benefits offered by SG Optimizer?

    Thank you.

    @hristo-sg,

Following our last note, a good example would be Cloudflare’s “Argo Tiered Cache.” Should be turn it on or off?

    Thank you!

Keep it off. I would not recommend using CF for anything but a CDN. Yes, if you enable their optimizations that will lead to conflict.

    Hi @hristo-sg,

It would be fantastic to have an -always- updated note from you about “advised/optimal” Cloudflare settings for Siteground hosting.

Beacuse for us (end-users) is not “funky” if you point to each others (Cloudflare<->Siteground) for some overlapping things (ie. mine should be used), or/and we (end-users) should/have to find out from comments in different hidden topics (like this) what would be the ideal settings for SG sites at CF.

Preferably, it could be a simple list with a short explanation of (all) the functions of Siteground/Cloudflare what should/should not be on/off or could be on/off at one of you (ie end-user should test both possibility and choose only one of it). Might this sentence sounds difficult although it can lead a note like this example:

CF Railgun – SG Not supported anymore – turn it off at CF
Cloudflare’s “Argo Tiered Cache – SG not recommend to use – May causes conflicts
CF Minify – SG Optimizer Minify fuction can reach 20% better result over CF in our tests – Test and use only ONE, do not overlap

    etc

    cheers
