do you know a theme with these features?

  • Hi all!

    I have been scouting around worpress theme for awhile and am a little overwhelmed. I am looking for a theme which supports a slideshow header, and displays posts below that header as such (seinnagausman.com/wordpress) if you click the link that is my testsite and the theme being used is photoria.

    The problem I am having with this theme is that it includes every single post on the front page and I do not want it to, for as the site grows, that would be visually unappealing in my opinion. I just want to feature 6 at the most, and I dont see anything which makes that possible within the theme.

    It also displays a little differently every time i refresh the browser window which is a big “nono” !!!

    the layout of the theme is whats importan, the sliding header and the featured posts in little boxes below (thats what the client wants)

    is there a theme that will better accomplish this and allow more control over which posts appear on the home page?

    any help is much appreciated:)

    You should use Good News WordPress Theme, its magazine theme and supports all the features you mentioned.

    thanks guys!

    i have checked out both examples and both have things that i like, and things i dont. the magazine site has alooot going on while the client wants a very un-overwhelming approach (but i also know that all of the modules/widgets do not need to be used and that will clean up the look) i dont want the little thumbnails below the slideshow however, and i also dont want the featured articles to be “listed” on atop the other, rather i want them in little squares, 3 to a row. but i may be interested in that theme for another project so thanks:)

    and the eclipse one i like the slideshow header, but again the posts are stacked on atop of eachother…. ??

    do you think this can be achieved with either theme? and if not, any other suggestions? i really appreciate your suggestions…thanks!
