• So suppose I want to have text advertisement links and GoogleAds on my blog. Do I have to host it through another website, or can I just download the program and run it myself? Thanks.

(If so, which would you guys recommend? I’m very familiar with wordpress.com but want to do www.remarpro.com so I can do the advertising part)

  • Most ads are put on your site through embed code (which it sounds like you are familiar with, with your experience with WP.com), it works exactly the same with WP.org hosted sites.

WP.org sites do have to be hosted somewhere so you’d have to pay a hosting provider that matches the specifications that WordPress requires to run the most recent version of it. There are tons of hosting solutions out there that can host WP.org sites. Just google it and find the highest rated company the fits your budget.

Once the site is up and running you embed your ads all over your site. Go crazy! ??

Thanks for the help. So just to be clear…

If I do web hosting for $5 a month (or whatever it costs), I can put up text link ads, AdSense, etc on my blog?

if the hosting solutions supports WordPress, than yes. It should. I’ve never encountered one that didn’t.

    Good luck!
