Do we should need to submit a site map, after setting up Site Kit on WordPress?

    I am Manikandan and I have WordPress site.

    I have successfully connected my site with Google Search Console(GSC) using Site Kit.

    My site has a XML site map. I didn’t manually submitted my site map on GSC.

    So on my search console account, I don’t have a site map.

    My question is, The Site Kit by Google will automatically find my site map? or I should need to submit a site map manually on GSC?

    This question is for Teaching purpose.

    Also if I didn’t submit a site map, what will happen? (This is also for Teaching purpose)

    What is the best practice?
