Hello! This plugin is still a daily lifesaver for me as I undertake gathering data on a massive month of posting.

However, the more and more I use it, the more I think that there ought to be a permanent setting that auto-pauses time tracking once a Post or Page is published, giving us the option to re-enable it.

Maybe I’m unique in this, but I revisit the editor for published pages all the time – to copy HTML, to add tags, or to tweak a social sharing copy. But, that’s not really work time for me, so I find myself RUSHING down to the pause button every time. Sometimes I do significant re-write work on a published post, but that’s an exception and not a rule.

I don’t think my single comment should be enough to push this into reality (after all, we do have the pause button!), but I wonder how common this sort of behavior is among others!

    Best – Peter

    Hey @krisis,

What a coincidence, I just released version 1.4.0.
In this version, it is possible to disable this autostart behavior.

I will close this as resolved, because we have implemented this feature already ??

Oh, wait I have misunderstood you….
You want to disable the auto start time tracking when the post is already published.

I will create an issue on GitHub and this feature will be implemented in version 1.5.0, okay?

    Hey,

The version 1.5.0 contains the requested feature. Have fun with it ??
