Do v have to re-build SITEMAP manually

  • I have just installed ‘Google XML Sitemap’ & build it, although the installation was successful with few lines of message. Out of them 1 line is creating some doubt in my mind.

    And that 1 line is:
    If you changed something on your server or blog, you should rebuild the sitemap manually.

    I wanna ask – when ever I make any change in my Blog, like I have a new post then I have to click on the link ‘rebuild the sitemap’ ??

    I’m not totally sure. I’m guessing if you make actual changes to your server, like php version etc. Also I’m guessing with ‘changes to the blog’ it’s referring to changes like permalinks, new custom post types maybe…etc. I think it means more settings type changes

    I agree, that statement isn’t all too clear. I used to use the plugin, and never had to manually update the sitemap.
