Do some themes block out new sidebar images?

Try looking in your theme’s stylesheet.

Like I say, I am new at this. I do would not know where to begin doing that…

How did you add the code (FTP / admin), and to what file did you make changes?

Have you added widgets to your sidebar via Admin/Appearance/Widgets?

Good point, perhaps trying to use the text widget?

I’ve just tried it in a text widget, worked first time…

(Of course that image and address is specific to me)
