    Hello,

I’ve never been using Site Origin Page Builder so that I can’t know what happens exactly. But as long as your WordPress editor accept shortcode, this plugin should work well.

I don’t know if Site Origin has the same shortcode that cause conflict.

    Thanks,
    Mauris

    Hi and thanks!

Took for granted that this affected everything, but odd things only applies to pages.
If Page Builder by SiteOrigin is activated you don’t see the drop cap on pages (not working). On the other hand it works on posts.

If Page Builder by Site Origin is deactivated, then as I see it, the drop cap function works as it should on both pages and posts.

Any clue why this malfunction occurs?

    Hi,

    Alex from SiteOrigin here.

To clarify, the shortcode method works without issue. The automated method does not. Presumably (as I haven’t looked over the full code), it’s due to how your automated method is being done as we store page builder data in a non-standard manner so it’s likely being run on the base post rather than the panels_data.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for taking time to clarify the issue.

I am using the automated callback method of add_shortcode to apply drop cap. Do you have suggestion to handle the conflict?

Does SiteOrigin page builder has developer docs that I can read?

    Thanks
    Mauris
