    Hi !
I’m using WP Media Cleaner and it works well on most of my websites but it doesn’t work with one with very big media data base.
There’s many images and it seems plugin crash or something. When I try to scan it says “Please wait…” and that’s all.
I tried to let it works many hours without results.
    Any ideas ?

    Hello!

If you check your PHP logs you will see that the script was terminated because it was taking too long. Google this exact error + “wordpress” and you will get a way to get rid of it. Basically by extending either the memory allowed to the script or by extending the execution time by a few seconds ??

    Hey, Jordy,

One of my project is using WP and with a big media data base. I am trying to use WP Media Cleaner cleanup the uploads images. The scan process runs, but very slowly one minutes can scan 10 files. There are more than 15000 to scan. Now 1000 were scanned, and I got always this status: ” There are 0 issue(s) with your files, accounting for 0.00 MB. Your trash contains 0.00 MB.” Could you tell me if the plugin finds files to delete, it will display them immediately or until it finishs the scanning process?

That is very weird, it should be much faster than that! How big is your database?! My databases are big too but it is much faster…

Don’t worry though, the “There are 0 issues […]” message is only updated at the end.

The same problem with my local database (first I test the plugin on XAMPP): 5 MB.

I have around 260.000 images. For now I only activated Scan files folder. But even with that option it just shows me “Please wait” but no files are being listed or anything. Error logs stay empty.

The plugin has no problem with the size. But you might need to tweak your PHP settings. Check your Chrome Developer Tools, you might also get more information about the error there.
