I have been fighting with the NextGen Gallery 2.0.33 for two weeks now on my test system. My website uses 1.9 but I have now decided not to upgrade! The old system allowed you to at least edit their plugin phps. But the legacy php’s are not used in this plugin anymore and you cannot change anything but the css styles. Many people used to add the gallery title to the page by editing the gallery.php. I have over 40 galleries with each gallery being an event or function. I cannot imagine Photocrati thinking that they can display the galleries but to open the link you get a page without a gallery title with no way to retrieve the title! Their solution is to create a page for every gallery and link the page to the gallery. Adding 40 new pages verses one line in a php? They might as well say they are closing this plugin down.
The latest I read is if you activate this new plugin, if you uninstall it, the uninstall process deletes all your albums and galleries. Nicely done Photocrati!
