I did nothing else but to install new versions of plugins offered by word press (upgrade). Please, how to install thumbnail regeneration? Thanks.

You must to option and you will see thumbnail regeneration and do all images thumbnail re-creation

You might touch base with your host also. It’s possible you don’t have enough storage left on your site to hold the new file causing the image upload to fail.

Sometimes the host has issues accepting certain file types.

Also, if you have an image optimization plugin it might be trying to ‘optimize’ the image on the fly while breaking the file instead. Look for a plugin called ‘Smush’ or any other image compressor type plugin and disable it temporarily. These are great plugins and good ideas but sometimes things break.

Check to see if the image saved in the media itself but something in the editorial process might have messed up the link slightly.

Also, suspect any CDN plugin, cache handler/enabler and Jetpack ‘Photon’ while troubleshooting.

None of the proposed solutions works. But when I open a blank picture and click on EDIT IMAGE, the picture is seen ??
