do not remove the tax for current land

  • I want the tax for Dutch residents not to be set to 0, even if a VAT number is entered. the website is also located in the Netherlands.

    I read that there was an option “tax paybale to country” I don’t see this option in my tax overview.

    If the Netherlands are your shop’s base country, then you won’t have to do anything. The EU VAT Assistant won’t apply a VAT exemption if customer’s country matches the shop’s base country, unless you specifically tell the plugin to do so.

    The EU VAT Assistant reached its end of life in June 2022?and we can no longer provide support for it, nor guarantee updates. We are keeping the plugin available for users who still use it, and might need to access its code, but we would recommend to contact your developers if you need assistance tweaking or troubleshooting it.

    somehow it doesn’t work. As soon as I am located in the Netherlands and fill in a Dutch VAT, it is still set to 0% VAT

    because your plugin is no longer supported. Do you recommend this plugin: EU/UK VAT Compliance Assistant for WooCommerce?

    If you see a 0% VAT when the checkout country matches your shop’s base country, the cause is either a misconfiguration, or some element on the site. It’s difficult to say for certain, it would require an investigation.

    The VAT Compliance plugin is indeed the solution we recommend in place of the EU VAT Assistant. It offers a similar feature set, plus additional features for countries like the UK or Norway.
