Do Not Process Certain User Levels

    I have an old forum i moved to bbpress.

    Old forum members who ahve been around for years are getting stopped from posting etc by the spam plugin

    I would like to set allow user levels for them to be able to do anything they want without triggering the spam filtering.

    How can i do this please?

    I am asking as one user has been stopped from making new posts but they ahve a dynamic ip so they cannot be easily whitelisted

  • I can’t tell why they are being blocked. If you look at the log report it might help. Clear the log. clear the cache, and watch for a user to be rejected. The log report will have the reason.

    I would uninstall the plugin. The plugin stops spammers or people who look like spammers. These people would not be blocked it they did not look like spammers. If you have users that use a VPN then they will be blocked because spammers have poisoned all the VPN IP addresses.

    yep i get that it tries to identify spammers in lots of ways and it certainly does a great job of that.

    I just want it to ignore users who are already registered of a certian user level. specifically i dont want it to spam moderators…. for obvious reasons. Can i add an if user level => x then skip everything?

    The plugin has no feature like this, but I’ll think about it.

    The plugin checks the user before the wordpress login. It would be hard to log the user in and then check if they are a spammer.
