• Because of a sluggish performance of my site’s gallery pages, tried to improve performance by “Enabling the resource minifier” (NGG settings –> Other Options –> Miscellaneous), which should combine available Javascript and CSS resources into one file. This was done in my local testsite… luckily since everything went wrong within NextGEN Gallery!

Selecting “Yes” seemed to do something, but the end result was that all NextGEN Gallery admin pages showed nothing, just a blank screen. I could not go back to select “No”, nor do anything within NGG.

Deactivating all other plugins did not help, nor flushing ngg options with a special plugin I got from Photocrati. Luckily I had a copy of that site folders and database, so had to delete everything and empty the database and copy all folders plus upload database records.

I really can not encourage anybody to do this, especially if you have many plugins, and would want to improve your live site.
